Grim Sorcery Series #2: Death Mark

by Bev J. Jones

About the book

Marked by Death Those words have taken on a terrifying new meaning for Elizabeth Key. Tempest Griffin, also known as Phoenix Grim, did the unthinkable. Determined to possess Liz, he’s marked her with a sigil reserved for Reapers and cursed her Wyrd, locking away Liz’s powers and trapping her mind in the shadows of the past. As Liz relives old wounds and confronts the demons that have haunted her for years, her friends and allies race against time to break the curse, remove the mark, and restore her magic. Liz’s only hope lies in her own resilience, and in three powerful allies: Al, a gifted seer and sorcerer; Sophie, a light witch; and Deathripper, a Grim Reaper with mysteries of his own. Meanwhile, the Mage Community hasn’t abandoned its obsession with Liz. They still seek to capture her and use her blood to restore their fading magic. But Liz’s enemies have forgotten one crucial truth: Elizabeth Key's greatest strength was never her magic. And if they choose to play with Liz fire, she will make them burn. The prophets have named Liz the Chosen One, but fate has yet to reveal what she has been chosen for. Mages and Reapers alike will try to break Liz’s spirit, yet only one Reaper can touch her soul. Sometimes it pays to have friends in low places, especially when those places lie within the Shadow Realm.

About the author

I'm a Nonbinary, Bisexual, GenX, Writer, Reader and Gamer living in the Pacific North West with my partner (Jim) and three cats. I have ADHD, and two chronic autoimmune conditions that often interfer with my daily routine. I started reading early in life (age 4)and from then on I knew I wanted to not only read the books, but one day write them. I've written many short stories and fan fiction that I shared with friends and family, but it wasn't until I met my bestie, and read her blogs, that I realized we could make a compelling story together. So far we have published two books in our Grim Sorcery Series, and are currently working on the third.
