What IndieFiction is
IndieFiction is a free catalogue of independently published books, made for readers looking for their next favourite. Authors list their finished books here, each on a page of its own, and readers browse by genre, by mood and trope or through hand-picked reading lists, without an algorithm deciding what surfaces.
Every book page links straight to wherever its author sells it, so readers buy from the author and we take nothing. Short stories are the exception: those are published in full and free to read right here.

What we stand for
Six promises, and every feature on the site has to keep all of them.
Free to list, always
Listing a book costs nothing for individual authors, and it never will. The paid plans are optional extras, never a toll on what you already have.
No commission, ever
Readers buy from whichever store the author chose. We never sit between a writer and their reader, and we never take a cut.
Picked by people
Reading lists are chosen by hand and nobody pays for a place on one. The Shout-Out works through listed authors in turn.
Written by people
Short stories here must be written by a person, and accounts belong to people, not AI agents. Our AI policy.
Honest links
No affiliate links anywhere on IndieFiction. A buy button goes where the author sent it, with nothing added along the way.
Your readers stay yours
ARC sign-ups go through the author's own form, and a work-in-progress reader list belongs to the author, not to us.
How it's grown
Where it started
Selfpublishing360
IndieFiction began as Selfpublishing360, a smaller directory for indie authors. Every listing went through one person by hand, and a book was a row in a list rather than a page of its own.
August 2026
Rebuilt as IndieFiction
The whole catalogue moved across and every book got a real page that readers and search engines can find. Free short stories followed within the week, and by the end of the month Blind Date with a Book, moods and tropes, the weekly Shout-Out and the book quiz had joined them.
September 2026
Readers move in
Hand-picked reading lists, then reader accounts: a shelf for books to read, follows, reviews and notes, and messages between readers and authors.
October 2026
ARC requests
Authors can now ask for ARC readers for a listed book, and readers can sign up to read them from the ARC page and a Friday email.

Meet Abhishek Aggarwal

Abhishek is an independent author. He wrote and published his own book, Me for Myself, and learned the hard way that writing the book is only half the journey.
The real challenge began after publication: formatting, platforms, promotion and, above all, visibility. The landscape was scattered with expensive services and confusing advice, and very little of it was built for a first-time author.
So he built the place he wished he'd had. He runs IndieFiction himself, reads every message that comes in, and writes every guide on the site.
