Already published? Keep your money — if the book is finished, this isn't for you: list it free, like every book here. Listings, author profiles, the guides, Ask — all of it is free and stays free. No fees, no cut of your sales, no catch.
This is for the one book nobody can list anywhere: the one you haven't finished yet. There's nothing to buy yet, so there's nowhere for it to be — while the readers who'd love it walk right past. For a coffee a month, your book gets its shelf early: sample chapters readers can fall into today, and a growing list of people who've asked to hear the moment it's published.

About what the coffee shop charges for a flat white — once a month. Cancel anytime; a cancelled month simply runs out its days.
- Your unfinished book, listed. Its own page in Upcoming — the shelf for books that aren't out yet.
- Homepage visibility. The Upcoming shelf on the homepage rotates daily, so every book gets turns.
- Sample chapters, free to read. Up to 3 chapters or 10,000 words, in proper book typography, readable by anyone.
- A reader list that's yours. Readers leave their email to hear when the book is out. You see the count grow, and download the addresses whenever you like.
- An “Upcoming release” badge. On your author profile and your card in the authors list.
- Priority support. Paid-member emails go to the front of the queue.

The reader list, honestly
The list is the part you can't get anywhere else — everything else is visibility. Readers are told, right at the form, that their email goes to you and that you'll hold it yourself. In return you agree to use it only to announce this book: never sold, never shared, never folded into other marketing, always with a way to opt out. Downloads are logged, and misusing a list ends the subscription. Fair on both sides, and written into the terms.
What happens if I cancel?
Your plan runs to the end of the month you've paid for, then your book and its chapters are hidden — not deleted. You get 30 days to download your reader list (we email you), then our copy is deleted. Resubscribe any time and everything comes back exactly as you left it. If a card simply expires, that same 30-day window is what saves your list.
Can I try it first?
The first month isthe try. There's no fortnight of trial state, no card-charged-when-you-forget surprise — you buy one month, see whether readers start finding your book, and decide like you'd decide about a second coffee. Not for you? Cancel in two clicks and it cost exactly one.
When it's finished?
Announce it to your list, delete the work in progress, and submit the finished book free like any other — then cancel the subscription, or start the next book.
Why charge for anything?
Optional paid features are what keep the free part free — hosting, email, the domain, security. The intent is for them to fund real people working on IndieFiction. What stays true either way: publishing a finished book here will never cost money.
