About the book

Parasitic creatures attack human settlements, and a crusade sets out to stop them. Conscripted into the group of soldiers is Basil, a healing mage’s apprentice, who carries a secret that even he is oblivious to, but that draws the attention of archdemons while the crusade marches to the front lines.
