Grim Sorcery Series #1: Deadly Connections
by Bev J. Jones
About the book
Magic is collapsing. Death is hunting. And the two most dangerous Sorcerers in the magic world…just found each other. Sorcerer Alaric Weird is half-alien, half-human, and entirely unpredictable. His sharp alien mind is his greatest strength. He lives a life in the shadows, alone, feared, and underestimated. Alaric wasn’t made to follow the Magic Community's laws. He’s there to break them. Elizabeth Key is feared across the magical world—cold, ruthless, and unyielding, she built her power to protect herself from the world that keeps trying to break her. Whispers call her the Black Widow, the Angel of Death, the sorceress who never loses. Major Dan Costa was happy living a normal human life with his fiance, Sophie Smith until a family heirloom unlocks Sophie’s magic, and with it a deadly curse that Dan will do anything to remove, even if it means his own death—which it does. When Death itself begins to unravel, Alaric and Elizabeth are forced into an improbable alliance that defies everything their bloodlines once stood for. A forbidden bond ties them together—one that could either save them or set them on fire. Together with the newly resurrected Grim Reaper and their healer Sophie Smith, they will strike fear in the hearts of the living and the dead. In a world ruled by magic, rules, and death, the most dangerous thing of all is what they’re becoming together. Deadly Connections is the first book in a genre-bending Sci-fi/Fantasy series about found power, resilience, and the kind of strength no one sees coming.

About the author
I'm a Nonbinary, Bisexual, GenX, Writer, Reader and Gamer living in the Pacific North West with my partner (Jim) and three cats. I have ADHD, and two chronic autoimmune conditions that often interfer with my daily routine. I started reading early in life (age 4)and from then on I knew I wanted to not only read the books, but one day write them. I've written many short stories and fan fiction that I shared with friends and family, but it wasn't until I met my bestie, and read her blogs, that I realized we could make a compelling story together. So far we have published two books in our Grim Sorcery Series, and are currently working on the third.
