Hi, I’m Jordin! 👋📚 I’m a South African indie author, coffee enthusiast (at least in spirit!), and someone who loves getting lost in a good story — especially when the characters refuse to behave themselves. 😂 I’ve never been very good at sticking to just one genre, and honestly, I don’t intend to start now! My book *Letting Go* is a little more personal, exploring healing, growth, and the complicated process of learning to let go. *Life Without Fantasies: Some Rules Were Never Meant to Be Broken* takes a much darker turn into psychological suspense, secrets, and the things people are willing to do to survive. And then there’s *Man’s Best Friend*, my upcoming rom-com, arriving on 20 November 2026. Because apparently, my imagination enjoys keeping me on my toes! I love creating stories that make people feel something, whether that means getting lost in a character’s world, questioning everything they thought they knew, or simply having a good laugh. If a story stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page, I feel like I’ve done my job. When I’m not writing, I’m usually dreaming up new story ideas, working on my next book, or thinking about all the characters who are currently taking up far too much space in my head. 😅 I’m currently working on my third novel, so there are plenty more stories to come! My name is K.T. I've been writing fiction as long as I can remember. I started writing fanfiction and re-writing classic fairytales. I'd write on loose leaf paper, scraps and napkins, my parents' old Microsoft Desktop with Windows 96 on it and then eventually my own computers. I'd sketch ideas of inspiring female characters who saved themselves, strong male figures who lead with compassion and patience, awe-inspiring action and devastatingly heart-breaking love stories. I've always wanted to publish a novel. I never thought it would be a romance novel! I fell in love with modern romance in 2024, reading a plethora of novels on Kindle Unlimited. It had been years since I'd read a book. Working full time and having three kids limited my personal time. In 2024, after finishing a romance novel that touched my heart in a special way, I thought, "I can write this too." It was time to get back to what I love. It'd been years since I wrote. Motherhood, postpartum depression and other mental health issues cut off my creative energy. But after reading romance novels, I felt inspired. Thus, 'The Slow Dance', was developed. Inspired by the surroundings of Northern Michigan and written mostly on my phone while I tried to sleep train my daughter, The Pine Lake Series came to life. 'The Slow Dance' is the first book in the series. A small-town, slow-burn romance about Katelynn Rhett who is on the run from her ex-husband. She escapes to Pine Lake hoping to find refuge and build a new life. She finds love too when her neighbor, Redmond Prices shows her what true partnership is. As a retired Army Ranger, Redmond is determined to keep Katelynn safe from her past, but the severity of it takes him by surprise. Keeping Katelynn safe proves to be harder than expected. Kathryn j. Atwood

Kathryn has written multiple young adult collective biographies on women and war for the Chicago Review Press. Her first book, Women Heroes of World War II, gets all the attention, but Booklist gave Kathryn's book on the Pacific Theater of WWII a starred review and likened each chapter to "a cliff-hanger screenplay." And Courageous Women of the Vietnam War was honored with one of those awards that to unfocused eyes sort of resembles the Newbery Medal. Kathryn has been seen on Chicago's WGN TV, "America: Fact vs. Fiction," and the Acorn TV series, "Deception: WWII"; heard on the BBC World Service's "History Hour" program and BBC America; published in The Historian and War, Literature & the Arts; and featured as a guest speaker at dozens of historical societies and libraries, including the Harold Washington Library in Chicago, the First Division Museum at Cantigny Park, and the Atlanta History Center.
