YLVARON: The Veiled Sangraíz

About the book

Some names are hidden. Others are waiting to be remembered. In Liorna, a village veiled in mist, sisters Siraen and Evaira know their family is keeping a secret: their surname is Elvarn, but it has not always been. When an impossible rain awakens something dormant in their blood, their home is no longer safe. An institution that measures, names and records everything has begun asking questions about them. Their escape takes them far beyond the world they know. Beneath Beljar lies a place they never imagined existed, where the ordinary things they carry—a bent spoon, a brass button, a wooden board marked with their childhood heights—begin to weigh more than they should. Somewhere among those secrets waits a name their mother never speaks aloud: Liora. And in Beljar, someone has learned to read exactly what a family is trying to hide. The Veiled Sangraíz is the first book in The Memory of the Weave, an adult fantasy series weaving together family bonds, mystery, memory and the consequences of choices made long before its two sisters were born.
