About the book

Micah Turner has to live with schizophrenia, and she has to do it all alone. The pot helps, the music helps. But none of it helps quite as much as the magic that allows her to slip into that space between one day and the next. At the very stroke of midnight, she can slip into the 25th hour, the hole behind midnight. And there she can find adventure, the occasional friend, safety, and more danger than she bargained for. Tonight is nothing special; drop off a bunch of her home grown pot to one of her customers on campus, maybe get high with him, and then back to her home to watch Netflix. She was not expecting to find a magic eight ball that not only works, but also has a bit of a sense of humor. She also wasn't expecting gunmen to shoot up the apartment right at the stroke of midnight, letting her slip into that other world, with the eight ball. Micah was not expecting the people trying to kill her, the people who want her to destroy the eight ball, or the magical experiments that threaten to destroy the whole world behind midnight and all the wonders of magic that come with it. She wasn't expecting it. But the eight ball was.
