About the book
Fate of the Galaxy picks up where Federation War (Book One of Star Map Draftsman) left off. Dawn Lucius, an engineer from Earth, still carries the Star Source and the title of Star Map Draftsman, a job that has already cost him more than he planned to give. Now something is wrong with the universe itself. An Ashton scientist shows that dark matter is fading, and since dark matter has always gathered around Draftsmen, suspicion falls on Dawn. The federations call hearings and send an investigation team, but each of them still wants control of what is left. Meanwhile Dawn's son, Stacean, has been taken, and getting him back matters more to Dawn than any verdict. White Crystal returns as well, still offering immortality as a way to rule people rather than as a gift. As the search moves from Planet Gorov to the edge of the known universe, Dawn has to work out where dark matter is going, who gains from it, and what a Draftsman owes a galaxy that may not survive. This is hard science fiction about big physics and a father who won't give up on his son. Note on the text: I write my novels in Chinese. The English edition was translated with DeepL and Grok, and the covers were made with Grok.
