About the author
My name is K.T. I've been writing fiction as long as I can remember. I started writing fanfiction and re-writing classic fairytales. I'd write on loose leaf paper, scraps and napkins, my parents' old Microsoft Desktop with Windows 96 on it and then eventually my own computers. I'd sketch ideas of inspiring female characters who saved themselves, strong male figures who lead with compassion and patience, awe-inspiring action and devastatingly heart-breaking love stories. I've always wanted to publish a novel. I never thought it would be a romance novel! I fell in love with modern romance in 2024, reading a plethora of novels on Kindle Unlimited. It had been years since I'd read a book. Working full time and having three kids limited my personal time. In 2024, after finishing a romance novel that touched my heart in a special way, I thought, "I can write this too." It was time to get back to what I love. It'd been years since I wrote. Motherhood, postpartum depression and other mental health issues cut off my creative energy. But after reading romance novels, I felt inspired. Thus, 'The Slow Dance', was developed. Inspired by the surroundings of Northern Michigan and written mostly on my phone while I tried to sleep train my daughter, The Pine Lake Series came to life. 'The Slow Dance' is the first book in the series. A small-town, slow-burn romance about Katelynn Rhett who is on the run from her ex-husband. She escapes to Pine Lake hoping to find refuge and build a new life. She finds love too when her neighbor, Redmond Prices shows her what true partnership is. As a retired Army Ranger, Redmond is determined to keep Katelynn safe from her past, but the severity of it takes him by surprise. Keeping Katelynn safe proves to be harder than expected.
