Seeking in the Darkness

by Emmy Stein

About the book

Who says you can’t stalk your stalker? Blind programmer Sandy, has been noticing little quirks in the universe that she can't quite explain. Familiar footsteps she couldn't place. A scent she recognized but wasn’t able to identify. Silent phone calls she’d assumed were spam. It was easy to brush them off...until it was impossible to ignore. Refusing to live her life questioning every scent and sound around her, she vows to find whoever is doing this, even if it means using her tech skills in very questionable ways.

About the author

Well, hello there. I'm Emmy. I am a Cuban American indie author, and SEEKING IN THE DARKNESS is my debut novel. By day, I work in technology as a user experience and accessibility professional, where I spend my time understanding people’s experiences, solving complex problems, and creating products that are intuitive and inclusive. Those same passions for empathy, curiosity, and human resilience shape my fiction. It’s also notable that I don’t hate corporate life as much as my character, Sandy, does but I have definitely heard the corporate horror stories after many years in the field. I live in the southern United States with my husband, and our two children, and enough ideas for far more books than there are hours in the day. Seeking in the Darkness is my first novel, but it certainly won’t be my last. Stay tuned for more as I continue my indie journey.
