Echoes of a Ghosted Self
About the book
Echoes of a Ghosted Self follows Brianne as she navigates a bleak, sterile institutional environment designed to treat deep-seated psychological trauma. Isolated from the outside world, she is forced to confront the mechanics of her own memory and the fragile architecture of her mind. As she attempts to piece together the fragments of her history, Brianne encounters a series of unsettling anonymous notes signed "L." These discoveries force her to question the authenticity of her surroundings, the reliability of her recollections, and whether her identity has been quietly dismantled and rewritten by forces she cannot see, driving an exploration of psychological isolation, fractured identity, unreliable memory, and the unsettling thinness of reality within institutional boundaries.

About the author
I’m a Canadian author writing character-driven stories about family, identity, survival, and the complicated things people carry with them. I’m drawn to the quieter parts of people’s lives, the things that shape them long before anyone else realizes there’s a story there. My writing tends to balance emotional depth with sharp observation, dark humour, and a little messiness. I’m interested in flawed people, complicated relationships, and the moments when someone finally begins to see themselves, their past, or the people around them differently. I’m an independent Canadian author, and I’m particularly interested in telling stories that feel emotionally honest rather than neatly resolved. My goal is to write characters who feel like real people: contradictory, imperfect, sometimes difficult, and ultimately human.
