William (Bill) Blackburn is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces soldier, former construction business owner, and career and technical education teacher who believes a good story can bring generations together. After twenty years of military service and fifteen years running a construction company, Bill brought his experience into the classroom, teaching young people the value of craftsmanship, perseverance, and doing what is right. As the creator of **Mother Maple Worldroot — The Storyteller's World**, Bill retells traditional folklore from around the world for families to discover and enjoy together. His fantasy series, The Chronicles of Boone, takes readers into a world of magic, ancient powers, friendship, sacrifice, and the consequences of difficult choices. Whether sharing a centuries-old folktale or building an original fantasy world, Bill writes with one belief at the center of his work: stories are meant to be shared, remembered, and passed from one generation to the next.
