I’m a late-in-life author, but I’ve been writing for more than 40 years before finally deciding to self-publish. I’m a mood writer, so I bounce between dark romance, mysteries, and thrillers. At their core, though, they’re all romantic suspense. The genre changes. The spice level changes, but strong FMCs, consent, and HEAs do not.
