Peter Sheppard is an Australian independent author based in South Australia and the creator of the JUMP BACK science fiction series. With a background in the transport industry, Peter developed his passion for storytelling through conversations with his father, whose own ambition to write a novel helped inspire the series. His debut novel, *The First Crossing*, explores humanity's struggle for survival, time travel, artificial intelligence and the difficult choices people face when their world is coming to an end. JUMP BACK is planned as a five-book series, beginning with *The First Crossing*.
