Daniel Welynn is an award-winning animator, animation director, educator, and speculative fiction writer with an MFA in Animation and Visual Effects from the Academy of Art University. His work has screened at international festivals, earning awards for animation and directing. BlackFyre began as an animated miniseries and grew from more than two decades of worldbuilding. He teaches animation and writes speculative fiction in the Upper Midwest.
