Charmel Mack is an author who uses her personal experiences to tell honest stories about relationships, life, faith, and the lessons that can come from some of our hardest seasons. Her debut memoir, The Moment She Woke Up, shares her journey through domestic violence and the emotional, psychological, and spiritual process of finding the strength to walk away. Through her writing, Charmel hopes to help survivors feel seen while also helping those who have never experienced abuse better understand why leaving isn't always as simple as it appears. Her work encourages readers to reflect on their own lives, recognize unhealthy patterns, rediscover their identity, and understand that starting over is possible. Beyond writing, Charmel is passionate about domestic violence awareness and using her story to create meaningful conversations in communities, organizations, and among everyday readers.
